Due to the pandemic conditions and high demand in sales for Customer X, lead time and cost savings were essential. Mozaik was able to provide 7-10 working-day lead times compared to 6-7 weeks from the customer’s current supplier. This allowed Mozaik to establish a solid relationship and a Just-In-Time program for this customer.
Services & Solutions
As a distributor, Mozaik was able to consider their network of manufacturers and incorporate flexibility with multiple possible solutions to find ways to produce boxes faster than competitors under challenging market conditions. A Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program was established, preventing the customer from running out of packaging materials.
Outcome & Results
Customer X received packaging materials within a timely manner considering the current (COVID) market conditions. Additionally, Mozaik delivered:
- A substantial cost savings reflecting $30,000 in the first three months
- Facilitation of ideas, quotes, samples for approval
- Going the extra mile to meet production deadlines
